I think we can all say what a year 2020 has been, and we will all remember this past year as one of “well I should have been going on holiday to, or visiting family or friends” unfortunately these things we cannot change, but we can look forward to the future and plan for our next adventures.

Whether it’s cruising on the Burgundy canal, visiting the Abbey of Fontenay, wine tasting in Chablis, strolling through the medieval town of Noyers, or simply just relaxing on the front deck.

The bridge (Pont canal) over the Loire river at Briare gives a different view of France’s longest river, and if you prefer Sauvignon Blanc wines then a visit to the vineyards of Sancerre and Pouilly Fume are eagerly awaiting your arrival.

Or why not celebrate with a bottle of bubbly on our champagne cruise; say a prayer in the Cathedral of Reims and give thanks that this period has passed and we now have a chance to move about more freely.

Whichever route you choose, we are certainly looking forward to welcoming guests new and old back to the C’est La Vie. She is patiently waiting for your return, to once again move from village to village, town to town, meandering again on the waterways of France, to feel the water moving below her bows.

2021 will be a year of new beginnings and new voyages.

We are busy planning for your return, so until then we send our best wishes for a happy and healthy holiday season.
